Eligibility & Process

Follow these steps to apply for the First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program and move closer to making your homeownership dream a reality.

Step 2 - Attend a Workshop

Attend a workshop based on your purchase readiness and anticipated timeline.

Step 3 - Meet a Loan Officer

Obtain a mortgage pre-approval from a loan officer familiar with and approved to work with the Program.

Step 4 - Pre-Qual Application

Submit your Program pre-qualification application along with your mortgage pre-approval letter.

Step 5 - Eligibility Determination

The HousingINC team will review your application and supporting documentation to determine whether your household meets the program requirements. This includes verifying household income, assets, household size, first-time homebuyer status, financing eligibility, and any other program-specific requirements. Lotteries may be necessary for certain homesites.

Step 6 - Enter Into Contract

Once approved, eligible buyers will have the opportunity to select an available home and enter into a purchase agreement with the builder. During this stage, buyers will work with their lender, complete escrow requirements, and prepare for closing.

Step 7 - Get Your Keys

Congratulations! After closing escrow and completing all program and lender requirements, you'll receive the keys to your new home and officially become a Seagrass homeowner.
